Asset Auction

**NOTE: Hedge's Asset Auctions are in development and are not active.**

At Hedge, we believe in the power of collective decision-making. That’s why we’ve implemented an asset auction process that gives our token holders a first right of refusal in the sale of our assets.

The Process

  1. Asset Sale Vote: When an asset, such as a car from our rental vehicle fleet, is considered for sale, a vote is held among the token holders of the respective fund. If the majority votes in favor, the asset is put up for auction.

  2. Fund Auction: The auction is first opened to the token holders of the fund that owns the asset. They can place bids using their tokens. The highest bidder at the end of the auction period wins the asset. They will have a set window to claim the item and if it is not claimed, tokens will be returned and the asset will be relisted as an open auction.

  3. Open Auction: If the asset does not sell in the fund auction, it then goes to an open auction. In this phase, token holders of all funds and HDGE can bid on the asset. This increases the potential buyer pool and the chances of the asset being sold.

This process ensures that our token holders have a direct impact on the management of our assets. It’s part of our commitment to decentralization and collective ownership.

At Hedge, we’re not just about providing investment opportunities in diversified funds. We’re also about empowering our investors with the ability to directly own real-world assets through HDGE, BXWD, or NPF token purchases.
